Colourful Care Nannies ensures the recruitment of highly experienced, professional, top quality national and international nannies and maternity nurses. The majority of our nannies hold diplomas in childcare or an internationally recognised equivalent. We also value the importance of practical skills and experience; therefore candidates that do not possess formal qualifications are able to register with us if they hold a minimum 2 years solid child care experience. We also encourage our applicants to obtain an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, which can be organised by our service if required.
Once registered, every candidate is interviewed at depth on a one-to-one basis with one of our experienced consultants. All candidates child care history, gaps in their employment history, career motivation, and practical child care knowledge and skills are assessed throughout the interview process. We also acquire knowledge about the nannies personal interests and aspirations to help us get to know them on a more personal level, thus enabling us to better match them to our families.
Our thorough vetting process also involves verifying all of the candidate's child care qualifications, including diplomas and first aid certificates, as well as checking that they hold a valid UK working visa. At least 2 of the nanny's referees are contacted and thoroughly checked, including the 2 most recent employers, even if they are not nominated by the candidate. To ensure further peace of mind for our clients we offer parents the opportunity to contact the nanny's referees themselves in addition to the checks we conduct.
Furthermore, upon a successful placement, we are the only UK based agency that offers an optional one hour post-placement consultation with the nanny in the family's home. This is aimed to provide nannies support in developing their new role within your family, as well as to help alleviate any anxiety you as parents may feel with leaving your children, unmonitored, in the care of your new nanny.
